Spring has arrived!
After a long winter, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the flowers are beginning to push through the ground. We are truly blessed with the beautiful weather we are experiencing this week! Please encourage your child to bring only the required clothing items according to the weather. For example, splash pants are a more suitable option for outerwear than snowpants at this point. Rubber boots would be desirable given the amount of mud on the yard, as well. We will be encouraging students to take home extra winter items that they are no longer using on a daily basis. Thanks for your help with managing the change in clothing according to the weather.
School Climate survey
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) is committed to providing safe, caring and inclusive places for everyone in our schools. One way that we can find out how we are doing is to ask parents. We are inviting parents to share their feedback via an anonymous survey during the weeks of March 18th – April 5th, 2019 using the School Climate Survey. This online survey has been developed by the Ministry of Education and will be facilitated by the WCDSB Research Department. The purpose of this climate survey is to find out about bullying/harassment, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and homophobia, among students at each of our schools. This survey is consistent with the duties of the School Board under the Education Act to promote student achievement and well-being. The link to our survey can be found on the homepage (bottom right corner) of our school website or you can click on the link below.
WCDSB Budget Survey
Please find attached the link to the 2019-2020 budget survey. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. The Board values input from stakeholders and your feedback helps ensure that budgets are aligned according to the Board, school and stakeholder needs.
The survey will be open until March 27th, 2019. The survey results will be made available after they have been presented to the Board’s Budget Advisory Committee.
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to the survey.
